We all have had a crush at one time or other and its wonderful when it works out ...just ask some of the members online.... but it can also be a nerve wracking time before that happens.

Lemon: We've known each other for years now. He does things that my exes would never do. ; u ;
Umm he's come to LA a few times before. So I could always meet him there maybe. He did say that he wanted to come over and visit me July of next year... I think. Can't remember.

mdom: Yasss I totally do! I've had a crush on him for a while now and I kinda basically told him that I liked him this Valentine's day. > / / / <

How did he respond? is there an age difference? Is that why he is putting off visiting you, because by the sounds of it he may be interested in a deeper relationship.

He told me that he liked me too.
But then I said: 'only as a friend though right?'
And he proceeded to tell me that no, that he likes me more than just a friend.

Umm he's only three years older than me.
I think the reason he doesn't visit sooner is because...well he lives in Pennsylvania.
So a trip from there to LA isn't cheap and then if he wants to come visit me where I live, well it's still a few hours drive from LA. I'm assuming he's saving up some money if he really wants that to happen.

-blushes-
He's so sweet. Like, he'll stop whatever he's doing to help me relax if I'm having a panic attack.
I remember one time we were chatting and I felt myself start to just break down so I sent him a message saying I wouldn't be able to talk for a bit because of the breakdown I was having.
The second I send that, he called me and it was just the sweetest thing anyone had ever done for me.

three years is a nice age difference and it sounds like he does want a deeper relationship so it is just a matter of working out the distance. Is he going to college or committed to a long term job? Maybe he could find a job and move closer to where you live. Have you ever been to Pennsylvania? What are your plans, (sorry but I forgot) did you mention you were looking at colleges?

Yeah the distance is a toughie. I mean, I'd love to go see him at his place but I just don't have the funds and due to my health problem I'm not allowed on planes. -shrugs-
He does have a full time job. Hmm, not sure if they'd offer him the same job closer to here but I see your point. :) I've never been to Pennsylvania before, but it sounds like a lovely state. A bit on the cold side.
I'm almost finished with college. I wanted to register this semester but I wasn't able to so I'm going to have to wait until November to try again.

well, finish college and see what jobs you can get after and hopefully you can find something closer together. I am sorry I forgot you mentioned the health issue before but I hear the sleeper trains to the East coast are very nice...you never know, one day maybe ...but it sounds like there is potential and although you can't see each other in person it does help with getting to know each other deeply to be talking everything out!

Oh I want to finish college so bad already and get a job. I'd like to help out my parents with the bills and stuff like that. I always feel like a waste of space when I can't help them. It's alright Lemon, I don't expect people to remember. lol Ah yeah, a train ride sounds super awesome! I'd be totally up for taking a train over there. I'd feel a little nervous going by myself but I think I'd survive the trip. heheh
-smiles-
Yeah we tend to talk about everything. I'm always trying to cheer him up when he's upset and I keep forgetting that sometimes the best way to help someone is just to be there and listen. I need to remember that letting him vent is a way of helping.

maybe you can get a friend or relative to take the train with you sometime, It sounds like you both are on the same page and upfront with your feelings and that is a major step. Being apart can be hard...but video chats can make it a little easier.

What field of employment are you wanting to go into?

Cali. Yeah sure, but I want to finish my degree first. And it's difficult for me to judge how much leeway I actually have in figuring out if I can take the semester off, or choose a new college, because I have a tendency to second-guess everything, and depression tells me I don't have any option but to take whatever college is willing to accept me.

Drifter: California has computer certification tests you can do, they usually cost cheaper it looks like if you are able to do the test at a local college. Not all credits transfer back I think you should be able to check that out when you check out other colleges.
