Weird
They mandated ten hours for my area on Monday
Then Friday they talk us we can do eight hours and show up at either the normal time or the early time (1630/1430) and do either eight or ten either way
Everyone on second opted to come in at the earlier time so we can be out before midnight
Apparently all overtime days are gonna get hard locked to eight hours (plus lunch) but because they decided so late with this one we get the choice
We're just hoping that first doesn't decide to stay for ten hours

Rumor has it, in the not too distant future, that overtime might not be taxed? That might work out for you?? Extra money! I have no idea how that would actually work. No tax on tips would be good.

And chances are it'll just completely kill overtime entirely for a lot of people, and some rely on that money
Though if you need that much money just to make it through life...either you got a shit hand or your spending is out of control and either way, oof

It shouldn't cost the company anything extra. It just means the worker won't have to pay tax on OT. I think it'll be positive incentive to work more. It's always seemed like the more OT the more taxes get taken...

Ah. There's a state law that says eight hours is the max they can mandate. Anything after that is voluntary

I've been watching the show "The Americas" which filmed animals through out North, Central & South America.
There are some cool pictures & I have learned a few things I didn't know about certain creatures plus some of the landscape pictures are phenomenal, like lightning strikes in the great plains.
