Lamps are useful and can affect your mood (mood lighting!). I have a couple of color changing LED light bulbs that use a remote to change the color. They can change the total character of the room.

The other lights I like are string LED lights (like Christmas lights, but just warm white bulbs). Ambiance!

Yeah I'm leaning towards a softer color, so when I go shopping with dad on Sunday I'll have to get some. The bright daylight ones can be overhead lights

It's from GE, so your local stores may carry them. There are others out there. You just have to be sure it says no app or wifi required.

It looks like that one comes with a remote (a kit--not you!, but two components bulb and remote). They do sell the bulbs without the remote that can use the remote from the kit. The bulbs alone come in a two pack and not that much cheaper.

Prolly get two kits then. The expansion bulbs look like they only come in packs of two--at least that's only what I see at Home Depot.

They had a quarterly town hall meeting on Thursday and one of the things they mentioned was no overtime. Friday my area was asked if we wanted to come in Monday for eight hours...which is overtime

I find home depot often does not have what I am looking for ... but once in awhile they have plants I want on sale.
