I've been really busy.... exams... Markiplier show (Best night of my life!) and i've got a lot to do this weekend as well so i won't be around much but i'll make the time to log on properly and hang out!

I've got a school river cruise tonight... wearing clothes i'd never usually wear... out of my comfort zone... I much prefer jeans and a shirt, but sadly it's 'semi-formal' and my mum says if i don't want to wear a dress then a playsuit is a good enough compromise.

It was a really fun night. My friends even got me to dance for a few songs

dancing is fun to the right music! I'm glad you let them persuade you to dance and that you had a fun night after all...but then ..you were with friends... so that is half the fun right there.

Very true. They were having such a fun time and i didn't want them to keep getting off the dance floor to come look for me. But besides that i spent most of the night watching the city lights and water on the deck with one of my other friends.

There was a kinda buffet like set up. Pasta, potato salad and fancy kind of things and cake and fruit afterwards! Plus fizzy drink which i don't have often. It was a bit more expensive for the buffet option... compared to the cheaper pizza option... but my year/grade had a vote and buffet won. I voted for pizza-

Yep! Same kinda thing. I guess they're what you'd call 'in fashion' or something but the only new thing i bought for the occasion were new $5 shoes
Still in awe about how much money the girls spent on hair, makeup and nails... just for one night!
But everyone was complimenting each other and it was a really nice night to see everyone dressed up.

But today i'm off to the carnival/show with two of my friends!
The park where it's hosted at is less than a 30 second walk from my mum's house so it's really close! And that means we'll be able to see the fireworks from our front door so that's pretty cool. So many events are happening lately... and the new Pokemon Game came out yesterday! Sadly i can't play it... i don't have a Nintendo Switch. But it looks absolutely amazing graphics wise!

Sounds like you have been having a wonderful few days! I would have loved to have watched the city lights sparkling in the night. Good thing you didn't get seasick! Did the boat feel rocky at all?

Is it a special celebration for your country that you get to have fireworks? You are so lucky to be so close to watch the fireworks! I hope it is a clear night for you!

Dressing up once in awhile is always fun. I've never been one of those to spend a lot of money on hair and clothes though. Some of these people who spend hundreds into thousands of dollars for Prom or a dance really need to rethink how better spent that money could be...then again I have always had to watch what I spend so maybe that is why I don't understand the frivlousness of it. I can think of other things I would like to spend it on that are more tangible.
