Yesterday I worked so fast I was sweating, so much to do, didn't know if I was going to get it all done & didn't want to have to call anybody in on their day off. But I got it done!

Its ok to cry, especially when something hurts!

I hope the liver biopsy is a once & done & not have to do again.
Wouldn't your blood tests be an indicator if something was going on? Ask the Doctor at your appointment, maybe there is another way to check now that they have a baseline for your liver.

Wow, I am even more impressed by your determination to work, especially when you have complicated health issues you are battling More people should be like you!

Lemon Cheesecake: That's true.

I did speak to my doctor on the 2nd of October and my liver isn't horrible. For my age, it's really good.

They did find that somehow I have a lot of blue blood cells being mixed in with the red and they think that could be the reason why my oxygen levels are so low and why I sometimes feel out of breath. So they said they would schedule a stress test to see how my body react and if my oxygen level falls to the low 80s that we could remove that thing that's dropping blue blood cells where it's not supposed to. But that to do that, I'd need another cath procedure.

Aww thank you! I just need the money. I've got bills to pay and I want to help with gas and groceries and stuff. Plus I have a car now so I'll need money in case I need to repair anything in the future.

JinMay, mixed results, some good & some not so good. I didn't even know that was a thing our bodies could do.
But it is good you are getting it figured out so that you can get treatment you may need to help you not be so fatigued.

There are disabilities that allow for gov't aid in Canada & the U.S., maybe you can qualify for that. If for anything to help supplement your income, or give you time to get the medical stuff taken care of without so much stress.
Is it a genetic thing that runs in your family? If it is, maybe they need to be checked as well.

I am sorry you are having to go through this, I wish some of the tests were easier to do, but I am happy you are looking into finding medical help.

Thank you Pixelz!

Lemon, I don't think it's genetic. Or well, maybe it is?
None of my parents have heart issues of any kind though, neither do my siblings.
I think my auntie did or grandmother but no one else that I'm aware of.

I'm just glad that things are actually getting done. It's been so long since I last did any kind of stress test. I think it's been a few years if I remember correctly; so it will be nice to do one now.
The only downside to all this is that these facilities are pretty far from where I live. My cardiovascular specialist is all the way in Los Angeles which is like two hours and thirty minutes away. Sometimes three hours depending on traffic.

And the stress test will be done in a city that's about an hour away. If not there, then another place which is a bit further. So it's always long drives I go through just to get to these places. But at least I'm getting answers which I appreciate.

oh I am so sorry you can't get the tests done closer to where you live, do the hospitals not do them? I think our hospitals have diagnostic facilities ... although not sure if a stress test is included in that as I have never had one.

I do know they have sleep apnea tests that can be done at home or heart monitoring tests that can be worn at home. I wonder if you can do something like that so you don't have to travel so far because driving in a big city I think would be very stressful! Or can someone drive you ??

But getting a baseline is beneficial so I guess if there isn't another way then you need to do it. Make sure you ask for a copy of all your labs & records!

Hello, JinMay!

Sorry I'm only catching up now (so many things IRL). It sounds like an 02 issue--you're not getting enough. So many causes and solutions so stay hopeful.

You might consider getting an Oximeter (typically can be found for under $10) to track your blood O2 levels. Maybe you'll notice a pattern that can be helpful. I was really surprised how quickly you can boost your O2 level with just a couple of deep breaths! Just beware that too much O2 can cause a low levels of CO2 which can be very bad too (what happens when you hyperventilate).

Were you having any symptoms that set you on this current journey?

We're really glad to hear from you, good, bad or anything in between! :L_Wing: :R_Wing:
