I do know they have sleep apnea tests that can be done at home or heart monitoring tests that can be worn at home. I wonder if you can do something like that so you don't have to travel so far because driving in a big city I think would be very stressful! Or can someone drive you ??
But getting a baseline is beneficial so I guess if there isn't another way then you need to do it. Make sure you ask for a copy of all your labs & records!
They don't, unfortunately. I have done heart monitoring tests at home plenty of times and I just mail them back when I'm done. So that's easy, and I've done a sleep apnea test once I think. It was easy to send back too. My dad will be driving me to the place. I'm just going to be in charge of making sure we both bring something to drink and snack on, and I will be bringing the address of the exact place we're going to that way I know what building to look out for.
I think all the records are kept online in my account, so I should be able to see them and print them out if I need them.

Sorry I'm only catching up now (so many things IRL). It sounds like an 02 issue--you're not getting enough. So many causes and solutions so stay hopeful.
You might consider getting an Oximeter (typically can be found for under $10) to track your blood O2 levels. Maybe you'll notice a pattern that can be helpful. I was really surprised how quickly you can boost your O2 level with just a couple of deep breaths! Just beware that too much O2 can cause a low levels of CO2 which can be very bad too (what happens when you hyperventilate).
Were you having any symptoms that set you on this current journey?
We're really glad to hear from you, good, bad or anything in between!

Galled hi! It's very nice to see you!
Ah don't worry, I've been pretty busy as well so I totally get it.
An Oximeter? I think I have one, yeah. It goes on the finger right? I have one I just always forget that I have it. lol So I always forget to use it but I do have that and I have something that we use to check blood pressure. That wraps around your arm. I mostly use it on my mom though just to make sure she's okay.
Well it's been a journey that I've been on since birth, technically.
I'm supposed to see my cardiologist every 6 months.
But I hadn't seen mine since I think before Covid. So now that I have a new one, it's just a bunch of redos to see where my levels are at now. Just to update information, you know?
I had a biopsy done and a catheterization (to take pictures of my heart) done the same day on the 25th of September. Which I'm all recovered now except the pelvic area were the cath procedure was done, still hurts sometimes and I still have some bruising but no more bleeding and no more itchy scabs.
Results are that my liver is stage 2 of 4 which, apparently is good for my age?
Also, they found that I'm having a lot of blue blood cells mixing with the red. Apparently there's something there that doesn't belong. So that's why they want to do the stress test, to see if my oxygen levels fall below I think they said 80. If they do, I could get another ccath procedure done to remove the thing that's producing the blue blood cells because that could be the reason I struggle with getting enough oxygen.
So that's where we're at right now and my stress test is scheduled for the 30th of October and I'm tempted to wear some kind of maybe Halloween thing that's not an actual costume and ask for candy. lol
