I had a fairly productive day today, thank you for asking, Wings.

I got some gardening done ... lots of weeds growing right now & they are overpowering my plants so it felt good to help the plants not get choked out by the weeds.

I did some dishes, laundry & that kind of stuff as well.

Were you able to get things done today?

Here's what you gotta do, Lem; don't just get rid of the weeds, train your plants to fight back! Teach them self defense so that when the weeds start attacking them again, the weeds will be in for a surprise!

Routine stuff that needs to be done just needs to be done. At least because it's "routine" you can do it efficiently with prep and experience!

Ugh weeds! Like all complex problems the solution will be multi-faceted (prevention, effient removal, and design). What makes it even more difficult/discouraging is the amount of work and length of time before seeing results. Keep at it! You'll get there!

Besides, the Windlyn Rebel Alliance will always stand against the evil Weed Empire!

All that said, when the temperatures drop to freezing the weeds actually help protect the plants from freeze damage & help retain moisture... and one person's weed is another person's plant depending on where you live. (As in one man's trash is another man's treasure kind of idea).

Yep, like garbage... LOL

That may be "a" benefit, but not all weeds are the same--some are more tolerable than others. But even if they provide some benefit, if I've classified them as weeds in my mind so the drawbacks outweigh any benefit (I won't disband the Windlyn Rebel Alliance against them!).

Just like Lemon to see the good in the bad... that's just another of the many reasons why we love you so much!

I wish other people would like me more. I have very low confidence and self esteem.

Who wouldn't want people to like them more? You're not alone.

I think the trick to being liked is being nice to everyone no matter how you feel about them. Note that it's impossible to have everyone like you back. Sometimes if someone doesn't like me it's not because of anything I did. At that point I feel like it's on them and not me... :/

Wings: I agree, if you offer kindness people are less likely to get offended and also more likely to accept or tolerate any idiosyncrasies we may have.

Npix, most of us suffer from some form of self esteem issues... even those people who seem like they are confident.

Adding to what Galled said, try to be polite in all situations & you are more likely going to have people at least not not like you. But everyone has a "bad" day & that is when we have to be more watchful of what we say, how we react, what we do.
