Maybe? It kinda depends on the lore, really. In some, fairies are human-sized. In some, fae is a rather large category. Sometimes fairies include any creature that is magical like a gnome or a goblin. Sometimes it refers to spirits.

in the Guild's Cheat Receptionist, there's a species of faerie that are super tiny like pixies. they have to complete trials or smtg to get a full human body..

...it was also explicitly mentioned that majority of the faerie took the trials because they had boyfriends LOL
