around here you need a deposit, and first and last month's rent. Some places include utilities but most do not. see if you can find out the average costs for the place, for water, heat, trash, gas.

Are there any "basement" suites for rent? They can still be nice so long as they have windows for light. Ya, it is tough to find something you can afford, especially if you are in a college area.

Who needs windows? I have these big, thick, long, black curtains covering my windows! No light gets in! For light, I use a lava lamp! ^^

but at least you have windows if you want them...then you don't have to feel like you are in a dungeon or unable to escape a natural disaster.

Haha! Yeah. At first, it was a Star Wars one, but the lights burned out, so I'm using the stereotypical lava lamp! ^^
