I tend to keep the grocery list in my mind, but that doesn't always tend to be too reliable when I am shopping.

Dad's thawing the fridge out, since the vents that make the fridge part cool were frozen over
If it was just that, cool
If not, he's gonna see if he can get the older freezer warm enough to operate as a fridge and go fridge hunting tomorrow

ice chest - like for camping or when the power goes out for awhile - works temporarily too

doesn't hurt to add it to the list. You can always use it for storing stuff in the interim when you don't need it to keep stuff cool.

you could sit on it. use it as a foot stool. as a night table (ohhh I like that idea because you could keep snacks in it and not even have to get out of bed!)

And then where would we put the displaced stuff, in the already overstuffed garage?
The house isn't that big and it's pretty cramped as it is
Even more so when you consider that one wall is taken by the fireplace, and the outlets are few and far between to where we have to keep them in mind

Fridge was suffering from frozen cooling vent, it's fine
Meanwhile, my period started and my heat tolerance seems to be dropping year by year x.x
