The vet said call if he doesn't go to the bathroom 24 hours after discharge
Fortunately I don't have to cuz he went last night, and twice again this morning
I do need to clean the litter box tho, and make a clearer path for him
The leg that's had surgery he favors. What little he does use it for, it's like it's one piece, no joints. I think pt for him will start after the sutures are removed, and will be a lot of making sure he both holds said foot right and uses it as a leg with joints and not a pegleg
I'm doing a little bit now anyway, just correcting the position of the leg to something more natural of he has it awkwardly sprawled as he's lying down

I imagine when you take him in to get the sutures removed they will show you massages and exercises to do on him to speed the recovery.

Sounds like he's going to have a rough time after surgery on the other side, at least with using his back legs.

Hence there being a couple months or so between them, so he has use of said leg again beforehand

And he has the soft kind. . .
It can complicate things if he messes with his stitches.

Yeah
It's actually effective flipped up or down, but geez
And he's been licking at said sutures a lot more today too, so they're probably super itchy

And like usual he's a picky stinker and nibbles three bites

I'm surprised they didn't put the sutures that dissolve in - but maybe the other ones are stronger?

Those are prolly for smaller surgeries too, if they're even allowed here/for pets

They do have dissolvable sutures for dog and cats. It might use those only when it's a smaller area though.
