Because sitting at home twiddling my thumbs isn't gonna do anything, so I may as well get a paycheck, and be forced to do something

Well, sounds like you did the mature thing and went to work, most people would use it as an "excuse" not to go but if you aren't going to be needed at the hospital then you might as well go in to work and make some money and maybe that also will help distract you a bit - focusing on something else I mean. Will keep your Dad in prayer. Did he have surgery his first heart attack? (I don't recall).

But his arteries weren't bad enough to have them bother before

Personally I'm leaning towards similar symptoms, but something a lot less on the bad end of the scale

My bosses Mom had a triple bypass - had no clue apparently that it was that bad until she had a heart attack. Scary.

He got flown out and he critiqued the landing
This time he went ground the entire way
And apparently we gotta get Big Guy certified as an emotional support animal, and prolly Jazz too, so if he ends up in the hospital again for whatever reason we can bring one of the two in
