Turkey dinner day for us

Dad apparently has had problems with the turkey
I feel light-headed, prolly between forced awake from bad sleep and haven't eaten yet (what a combo)
Mom's in straight up bad mood
Downstairs is somehow almost clean
I'm in bed again trying not to mentally die from everything

~25 minutes until family is expected to arrive
And then about another hour from that is when we're supposed to eat
Who knows how accurate that'll be tho
Not the way my brother and sister dislike each other
Well idk if sister dislikes brother. I know he doesn't like her trying to control how he raised his kid and would rather not see her if at all possible
And then she lives an hour away so she whines about no one ever visiting
She also works weird hours so people can't easily drop in, plus none of us are really the "drop on in" types...

I feel vomity

stress is probably making you feel sick, I know that's what it does to me.

you should put it on the table and eat anyway - next time they will be on time! .... or just always count on them being late and time it so that it is an hour later. If they get there on time, give them appetizers or salad. All said, is the traffic bad? Kids were napping? Your Sister has kids so she should realize things can be unpredictable.

Hope they arrive soon so YOU can eat. Does your Mom allow "tasters"?

Did you eat a little something? I always have to eat breakfast still on the holidays because it seems to be too long of a wait and too much to do before food is ready.

Shame that there was some miscommunication over the time or maybe they are just running behind. We planned dinner around when Eagle had to work and I just told my parents they could come however early before that. It worked out but then I had no idea when they would get here. I had to lay down and missed their messages when they were close and arrived.

And only the turkey was done on time anyway
Right now they're switching from decorating and drawing to dishes for dinner

Also, Teddy is a year younger and he's just as tall. And a lot heavier. Denser
But he's got bigger from both parents (but not grandparents), so he may end up larger. Course, his mama my sister is short and his dada's a foot taller, so he has a bit of height variety in there

We've eaten now
Still feel sickish
But it's tired sick

Dog's miserable. She scared the everlasting fuck out of Teddy last time he was here and startled Paw so she's howling away in her crate
She'll need to be let out soonish, seeing as she was fed when she was shut in

Amazingly it wasn't until well after the dog was let back in and crated that they all decided to leave
Like any proper turkey day meal, leftovers up the wazoo
There's no space in the fridge for the turkey

After they left the house, I went and let the dog out
She was so excited that he tail wagged her entire ass as she galloped down the stairs, so her entire back half was going in circles

Paw saw Doink in my room, Corbin in my arms and up into mom's room, and Mop as she was getting ready to leave
I think Jazz is still outside
I saw Big Guy, carried him into mom's room. He started oyrrung as soon as we were upstairs
Rufus hid under dad's bed, as seems to be the usual with him

And now, a bit of interneting and then I'm taking a nap dammit
