I agree Silverfire the one scene in the fifth movie with Ron's dad on the ground doesn't even explain how that happened. If you don't read the book your clueless as to what happened.

They trim out the Voldy back story too
Buuuut 500+ page book in 90 minutes...a lot gets cut
Especially with a lot of internal monologue going on

I never did like Ella Enchanted's movie. Never read the book though.

I agree that there is some books to movies that are better and some that are worse. I know LoTR got a bit of beef but I prefer the movies to the books (and yes I read them all). Mostly because the characters are better outlined in the movie and you get to see a little more emotion, at least that is my opinion of the matter. Same goes for the Hobbit movies.

Oh god yes the trimming. There was some more they could have trimmed rather than the man important parts but eh time limits. But there was still major gaps too could have used less of the forced romance stuff too BUT HOLLYWOOD x.x

Oh yes. Some movies run the books! Case in point: Eragon. Amazing book series but the movie was nothing like the book!
