I'm feeling so frickin unmotivated, man. I just want to eat all frickin day. But I need to not do that. I eat slightly less and my body is begging me to eat and the other night I just ended up just overeating.

Why does weightloss have to be so DIFFICULT‽

What did you eat? Some foods make you hungry. Others don't.

Monkey, find low carb foods that you can eat say a 1/4 cup at a time, chew slowly & maybe it will make your body feel like you are eating?

For example, I have a cup size bowl with a lid that I put some nuts in. If they are say flavored almonds ( wasabi or chili flavor for example) I can eat one nut at a time. My body feels like I am getting flavor, it is something healthier for me & I am less likely to go eat something high carb.

Have you tried the parmean crisps to eat instead of potato chips? They make pizza & other flavored ones now.

If I want something sweet I eat a piece of fruit to try & get over that craving to eat chocolate or desserts.

I can tell you what works for me, you can try it or not, just want to help if I can.

Sometimes there are health issues going on which may make whatever you try not seem to work, so get your blood work done, check allergies & your gut biome too.

I've done my bloodwork and everything turned out fine. I know I can lose the weight, I've done it before. That day, I went and at a shit ton of food from White Castle. 10 piece Mozz sticks, 9 piece chicken rings, 2 double cheese sliders, a large big red...... Yes, that is a lot. I don't know why I decided on that much. I wish I ignored the craving. My stomach isn't used to eating a smaller amount of food. It's used to me eating a lot of food, so if I eat any less, it tells me it's "hungry"...

Like you said, it partly has to do with portion control, but mostly self control, not just on how much we eat but what we eat. I just find if I stave off the hungry feeling by munching on nuts or veggies as snacks I can get through the bingeing... it works for the most part. If I don't, I tend to over eat ... and then I am sluggish. :strain:

You have the tools, you know you can do it, you've done it before.

I'm also going to try food journaling again so I can keep more aware of what I'm eating. I may even track my calories in it, too. But at the very least, just write down what I ate.

I am learning to look at food and compare it... I can have this one thing & its so many carbs or I can eat a bunch of another thing for the same amount of carbs.

Then I learned to substitute.

I was just trying to help an older friend of mine, with dietary restrictions, who has been binging on popsicles...to try to put it into perspective, I showed her on the labels her one popsicle was the same amount of carbs as a whole ciabatta bun. I suggested she eat smaller popsicles (like one stick ones) or sugar free popsicles as an alternative & then she could actually eat more "real" food.

Like Lemon, I just want to help. I know it's difficult to get your head around it all since what works for me goes against what I've been taught my whole life and the medical and dietary establishment still say today. Well, except for what's been called/labeled "the fringe."

From what you listed as what you ate, there is an overload of carbs there. The bottom line is carbs make you hungry (and they make you fat--which we can get into if you're interested, we can also get into why carb restriction doesn't work as well). But for now just google: "why do carbs make you hungry"

https://www.google.com/search?q=why+do+ ... nt=gws-wiz

As for portion control, it's not so much the amount you eat, but what you eat as well. You can eat a lot more of zero carb things and not have it affect you negatively, where just a small portion of high carbs will keep your body in fat storage mode and make you hungry.

Hope this helps and please ask questions if you have any.

Me playing Baldurs Gate 3 and I'm absolutely lost. Like, I'm just trying to get to the next quest marker and I keep running into dead ends!!! Now I'm stuck in a cave... the game is starting to be not fun and I'm only in the beginning.

I'm so pissed off

I play on my switch after my parents go to bed. Well, my dad gets up, 2am, plays his damn tik too vids at full volume and I can't concentrate or hear shit from the game I'm playing. I just turned it off and went off to bed even tho I ain't even tired. I gotta finish cleaning my room so I can move my switch to my room. This shit he pulls is so damn annoying and he gets mad at me if the TV is as loud as the videos he's playing. He would tell me "turn it down" then sits at his computer desk, turn on his phone, and play videos at the same damn volume the tv was at before he told me to turn it down.

He'll also see me reading a book but still turn out every fucking light so that I have to get up and turn a light back on. I can't wait to move out. He has no damn respect.

Is your Dad hard of hearing?

You need a smart phone so you can use the app to turn the lights back on without moving from your seat ...maybe it would work on turning the sound down as well??

Sorry, living in the same house everyone should be respectful... especially with sound at night!
