I don't know about where you are but sometimes the second hand stores, thrift stores, have gowns for cheap. Sometimes you can find some nice party dresses online.

i would suggest you ask the other girls in the class what type of dress they are getting. Prom is usually a fancy dress, try to find one you are comfortable with. Also check to see if anyone you know has a prom dress you can borrow.

you can also check out wedding stores,over here they carry prom dresses as well. Black is always a classic color.

I am stressed out a little extra then usual but have to have faith that things will work out and believe everything that comes into our lives is character building.
