(Although $100 is not a lot of gas here in California... I believe it's a lot cheaper everywhere else... how much is a gallon by you?)

It only costs me around $35 for a full tank of gas. It's like $2.54 a gallon or somewhere around there where I'm at.

Oh how weird, I have never heard of that before ... is it a debit card? i don't use debit cards so I don't know much about them.

Do they want you to actually go in to see the attendant and not pay at the pump? Would that make a difference & not put a hold on?

Good though that you are checking it out because the gas station seems to be where most skimming of cards occurs. But I would still keep an eye on your statements the next few months to make sure there aren't any unknown charges. Often thief's will put a small charge amount on to see if it passes & then do a large expense.

Its a debit card. The second time it happened, as i was still actively pumping gas, I had to look into it and gas stations will put a hold on your bank account if you pay at the pump. It even tells me that on the pump. I never noticed it before and never had a hold trigger the bank fraud department. The hold can range from $50 to $175 so thats what tipped me into realizing its just a hold and it triggered the bank fraud department. I've not had any suspicious activity on my bank account since thaf occurred.

You should apply for a credit card if you don't have any yet. It's an extra level of security (the credit card company will be on your side) and there are benefits (interest free until the next statement, cash back, extended warranties, rental insurance, building credit, etc.).

OK, yeah, you gotta do that first. The interest is crazy. Except for emergency situations you have to use a credit card like a debit card (have the money in the bank already to pay it to use it).

.work's been okay. This is my last day before a week long vacation. I havent really talked to Bassy in a while. I just know she's usually just working a lot. AFAIK, no snow in the forecast.
