At my youngest niece's first birthday party
Not a single kid is ten, much less older
Most are under five
She's an hour away
I get carsick easily
And lots of noise, inevitable with one or more young kids, means headache

I'm glad you were able to enjoy the con with your friends. I've been to cons with my family, with friends and one that I was pretty much alone.

That would be a big let down to go to a birthday party and not have any cake or dessert. At least Applebee's had something good.

I'm not a fan of parties in general, so, uh, not reallllllllly
Plus it's very likely that my sister made them and the frosting is tooth-achingly sweet and the cake tasteless when she makes it
