Speaking of moisturizing, I keep forgetting to put lotion on the backs of my hands! The winter air dries them out and they start getting red and eventually start bleeding if I don't remember!

Oh that's not good! You might try an ointment version (thicker than a lotion) of the same moisturizer. They tend to stay on longer and are harder to rub or wash off. (I only learned this last year.)

The constant hand-washing and sanitizing dried out my skin so much regular lotion wasn't cutting it, so I bought hand cream.
It's placed near my bed, so in case I forget to put it on during the day, I can at least moisturize my hands before I sleep. It still worked to keep my hands from drying out!

A good thing to know; any moisturizing better than none.

Sanitizing is brutal on my hands. I try not to use antibacterial soaps as they dry out my skin too (and useless against virus'). And according to the FDA they do no better than soap against bacteria either.

The thickness of moisturizers (I didn't know this until last year ) are lotion<cream<ointment (such a weird word).

That's most likely doing the most drying of your skin. Perhaps try applying moisturizer right after work in addition to your usual routine.

My skin has the same reaction to antibacterial soaps >_<
Just terrible dryness and some rash. I accidentally used a "skin-whitening" variation of my soap once and got an even worse reaction.

Dang, that's definitely contributing to the hand dryness, even without the cold, dry weather.

I'm SUPPOSED to moisturize after work and before bed as part of a routine, but I forget? :p

But yea, my hack for routine stuff I try to make The Thing very prominent and very visible, or place it such that it would get very in the way - ie at the center of the bed so I'm forced to pick it up, use it, and put it away before sleeping.

My tea plant should be ready for harvest soon? It's tall enough and the weather has gotten warmer, but I have some reservations about drying it myself. It might just end up as Disappointing Very Inferior Tea Leaves. I also have no idea how to use the fresh leaves.

I remember in elementary school we did a module on US colonial times and one of the thing we did was make new paper look old. We soaked the paper in tea, tore some edges and corners and let it dry. Voila! Kinda cool.

This is a very good use of used teabags and tea leaves! They're too weak for another cup, and make a fairly bitter tea when you try to steep them longer (or one that tastes stale if you try to save the teabags in the fridge and brew with more of them).

Used coffee grounds also work! And skins from yellow onions give a beautiful golden-brown hue!

Also this reminded me I need to try staining paper with roasted barley tea and calendula.
