I just don't have mental resources to deal with constant physical pain, even if low. It is very different.

I wish you could utilize the distractions people use for chronic pain, Viv but I think temperatures afffect your nerves & cause you more discomfort don't they?

I wish I had a magic gel that would numb the nerve pain. Can you get massages or does that just irritate the skin & nerves?

my nerve pain is really infrequent but severe enough to cause me to temporarily stop functioning when it's bad.

Right now this physical pain is very manageable when I am completely still but it's psychologically draining to deal with the fact movement to get comfortable causes pain.
