I forgot there are actual Castle tours!

I've seen documentaries on castles but I think it would put the history in a deeper perspective to actually see a castle.

got to save our money & research which castles to travel to.

I've been to Hearst Castle ;) , but it's not what comes to mind when I think "castle."

What was a learning moment for me was when I was in social studies back in Jr. High is that most of the images of castles I'd seen in movies/tv/media all of my life where not in England.

Of course Japanese castles are not what I think of either, but they meet the criteria I suppose (actually not sure what defines a "castle" -- a defensible place to live that has a lot of stone?). LOL

That looks like a castle alright! I'd imagine the hundreds of years old ones would be interesting just to learn about the solutions they came up with just for day to day stuff.

Thanks for the link! Yeah, it seems many things meet that criteria that we don't even name castles.

Sometimes not much happening in a week is a good thing ... gives time to recharge or relax.

Apparently Canada has such bad wildfires they are banning people from going into the forest & woodlands... kind of sad when you think about it.

Especially since the ones that mean to cause harm will not obey things like that...

Stay safe!

On another note, I've noticed a lot of knight illustrations popping up in my feeds lately. Could it be that we're being tracked and the AI is feeding us what we're interested in because I searched catles? Yikes!
