Yup. Everyone to one shift. Those of us are on nights cuz the shit we do that lets us not only keep up with our production but also pick up day's slack we can't do cuz of all the office workers n shit
There's openings that'll be filled and the most junior ones will likely end up in other departments I don't have enough seniority to stay in my area pending the senior five, but I do have enough to remain in the department, as one of the seven linesfolk The pay cut is gonna hurt
1. No more shift differential 2. Back to the lines, which is a lower pay than my area The printers on nights are very junior to the two on days so between the lower line pay and the loss of the shift differential, they're losing something like $5/hour. I'll be something like $3-4/hour less
Still 40 hours a week, just back to five eights instead of four tens
Both night shift printers are gonna go to shipping so I'm gonna remain the backup LOL And people are cackling and agreeing when I point out that my area after the change is gonna be a complete sausage fest. There's only three non-men now, and we're all too junior to the guys to stay on

So dad mowed the lawn for the first time since July August is really hot n dry and also muggy as fuck at the same time so the grass tends to turn brown, so dad avoids cutting so the green stuff up top is still visible Rufus was so lost and confused by the change he was in a corner of the yard crying. I had to go and carry his dumb ass to the driveway before he recognized where he was
I think most States have a time that fields need to be cut by or fines can be issued. Our State it is by end of June. Then the summer is too dry so they don't want a chance of fires and discourage mowing but if you do mow you have to do it before 10 am.
I like how it looks when everything is mowed, but I get Rufus because sometimes it is a marked difference.
