Several different animals have a prehensile tail, which is the type of tail monkeys like the spider monkey use to hang upside down.

Porcupines and tree pangolins to name a couple more.

I have never seen a porcupine in real life, not even at a zoo.

They dont necessarily hang from their tail, but they do wrap their tail around a tree branch for support.

I saw a youtube clip of giant rodents, like dog size Guinea pigs, crossing a busy street in another country & all I can say is that I am glad I don't live there!
